Now it the Time to Rally Democrat Voters
It all begins with an idea.
October 18, 2025
The midterms are a whole year away but the results of those elections in November 2026 will help shape American politics at least until November 2028 - perhaps much longer. Democratic organizations already working towards the goal of success in those elections, should also already be helping voters understand their status as a voter. Are you registered? Has your polling location been moved? Do you have the necessary documents to present at the polling booth, if required? We should not lose sight of the fact that all the campaigning and donations in the world will come to naught if people do not show up to vote on election day. In Alabama voters must register at least 15 days before an election. They can register online, here: https://vote.gov/register/alabama. 40 states allow online registration, and may require attachments of driver’s license or other forms of ID. Democrats need teams of people who reach out to communities and locate elderly and others who are not computer savvy, and help guide them through the online process if needed. They can also mail in their registration in most states. Key points to consider:
→Most states consider voter registration to be permanent unless there is a change of address, political party, or name change of the voter.
→It can take a while for the process to complete, which is why it’s a great idea to register early, or update voter registration early if anything has changed.
→Once the registration process is complete, after a reasonable amount of time, confirm the registration to avoid problems when appearing at the polling location.
Democrat organizers should consider setting up booths at certain events such as music festivals, farmer’s markets, and with proper permits that may be required in certain municipalities, in front of stores, banks and other busy locations.
Some elections come down to the difference of a few thousand voters. I believe a lot of Democrats are motivated to hope for change in the next election cycle. The discontent is very high and moving forward organizers should offer the ray of hope that is much needed: things can change for the better after the midterms, as well as the 2028 presidential election. Be prepared to explain how positive change can come about: Democrats can take the House of Representatives. Democrats have a lesser chance - but an opportunity just the same - to gain the majority in the Senate. And finally, Democrats have an excellent chance to take the presidency in 2028. An informed potential voter is a motivated voter. Now, not tomorrow, is the time to work on this change. Build up the registration rolls now.
Day One
It all begins with an idea.
We’re just about a year away from the midterm elections in the United States and right now there’s not a whole lot of positivity about overtaking the Senate, but there’s a lot of promise and excitement about taking back the house. So I will be exploring. I will be exploring our options for taking back the House but don’t give up on the Senate. As you probably know, if something doesn’t pass the House, it does not make it to the Senate.
I hope you’ll join me while I explore the candidates and the various races – and please don’t say it’s too soon or too early to get into this. It’s not too early. It’s really almost too late, but we’re not going to let it be too late. And we’re also going to explore not only the November 2026 Mid-Terms now, but the 2028 Presidential election, because it’s not too early to start thinking about that election either. I’m not a wait until the last minute kind of guy. I like to plan in advance so I mean we take our politics in certain doses. I’m not saying you should consume yourself with our politics (like a lot of people do with sports) but stay informed and if you have the time to promote and campaign for Democratic leaders, do it.
Let’s have some excitement about what we can do in 2026, 2728 and 2029.
